Professor Jingsong Ou is Changjiang Scholar Professor, director of Cardiovascular Diseases Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, associate chief of Division of Cardiac Surgery in The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, director of National-Guangdong Joint Engineering Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Vascular Diseases, director of NHC key Laboratory of Assisted Circulation and Vascular Diseases (Sun Yat-sen University) and the Chief Scientist of National Key R&D Program in China. He is the current chairmen of International Society for Heart Research, China Translational Medicine. Have award many grants including National Key R&D Program in China, National Science Fund of China for Distinguished Young Scholar, the key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. international cooperation project from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has published more than 140 papers in peer-review journals, including Circulation, Circulation Research, European Heart Journal, PNAS, Advanced Science, Nature Communication, Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. His researches focus on between high density lipoprotein function and endothelial function, the role of circulating extracellular vesicles on cardiovascular diseases and cardiovascular protection after cardiac surgery with cardio-pulmonary bypass.
